SEDIMENT/EROSION CONTROL TRAINING

HRWC, in conjunction with the Cherokee and Clay Soil & Water Conservation Districts, conducted sediment and erosion control  workshops for grading contractors and developers in 2004. The purpose of the free workshops was to provide participants with the understanding and tools needed to choose, construct and maintain the appropriate practices for road, residential and commercial sites.  The workshops also describe state and federal rules and regulations, as well as permitting processes associated with land disturbing activities and stream/wetland impacts.
