JOB DESCRIPTION
HRWC BOARD OF
DIRECTORS
Are you a hardworking
and dedicated individual that is concerned about water quality in the
upper Hiwassee River watershed? Are you willing to give 10-15 hours
per
month to ensure good water quality? If you answered yes to these
questions, we need you!
HRWC is currently seeking
volunteers to serve on its Board of Directors for a two-year term.
Currently the greatest need for representation is Union County, GA,
although candidates from all counties will be considered. Specific
responsibilities of the Board of Directors are as follows:

Establish
organizational goals and policies

Know and
understand programs of the HRWC

Plan and help
with fundraising events
-
Assist with
public outreach and education programs
-
Recruit potential
donors and supporters
-
Elect new board
members and officers to ensure a healthy rotation
-
Approve the
budget and audit the financial affairs of the Coalition
-
Hold the
Executive Director, staff, board, and volunteers accountable for
their responsibilities and take corrective measures as necessary
-
Stay up-to-date
with membership dues
-
Attend one
monthly meeting
-
Represent the
Coalition in public
Currently, the HRWC Board of Directors meets 10
times per year on the 2nd Thursday of the month at Peachtree
Restaurant near Tri-County Community College.
