Butternut Creek and Friends is a renowned folk music group from the north Georgia mountains. The group's brand of music is eclectic - blues, old standards, and popular songs, as well as traditional folk songs from the mountain region. To the guitar, banjo, and autoharp they add harmonious voices and an assortment of unusual folk instruments including the flute, clarinet, doumbec, whistles, spoons, and ukulele. Proceeds from this concert went toward a bank stabilization project along Butternut Creek there at the Farmers' Market site. |
