For the ninth consecutive year, the Hiwassee River Watershed
Coalition and friends will be serving up local farm-raised
smoked trout along with baked beans, coleslaw, potato salad,
cornbread, your choice of homemade desserts and a drink on the banks of Butternut Creek at Meeks Park. Smoked
sausage will also be available again this year as an alternative
to fish. This event has become pretty popular, so come early to
get a table seat and bring a lawn chair (if you have one) to
relax in after you eat. To-go containers will be available. All
proceeds will help support local projects to protect and improve
water quality. |
